Culture is a cornerstone for Events Odyssey founders Greg Thomas and Jewel Kinch-Thomas.

For seventeen years, Jewel ran theater and literary organizations where drama, poetry, music, dance, drama, film and visual arts were integral to the cultural event mix. Jazz is Greg’s passion and pleasure personally and professionally as a writer, producer, workshop leader, and host for institutions ranging from the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, the New York Daily News, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

As partners in life and business, Greg and Jewel formed G&J Productions nearly ten years ago to join their arts, culture, and special events background with hospitality and cuisine for local to international patrons of public events. (See images of a few of the venues below.)

Now private clients will receive their special attention via a high-touch, boutique cultural events firm, Events Odyssey. Quality and excellence, attention to detail, imagination and innovation, and elegance are the hallmarks of Events Odyssey.  

So, for EO’s one-of-a-kind events, they design each element carefully to weave an experience with sensual appeal. That’s why EO features only the best chefs: for instance, renowned Chef Kenneth Collins, a culinary master, who crafts highly creative dishes blending contemporary American with ethnic cuisine. Chef Collins’ clients have included Skadden Arps; Weil, Gotshal & Manges; Donna Karan; the Brooklyn Nets; and Kenneth Cole.

Likewise, EO selects the best musicians for a sonic touch to set a captivating tone. We've presented many of the best jazz artists in the world (e.g. Christian McBride, seen above), so the entertainment will be superlative. Each additional element is fashioned to elicit joy, pleasure, and satisfaction.
